[sonus] has been fortunate enough to have received several legacies over the years. People wanting to give D/deaf people a better life have left [sonus] a donation in their will. Legacies have helped [sonus] to fund some of our most important projects. With this money we have been able to support our service users and organise projects or trips in memory of that person. By remembering [sonus] in your will you can help to improve the future for D/deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK.
How your legacy could help [sonus] ...
Before [sonus] set up the Fun 4 You playscheme, there was no other playscheme in Hampshire tailored to the needs of D/deaf and hard of hearing children. Fun 4 You is a playscheme in which D/deaf and hard of hearing children can play with their hearing siblings and friends.
The playscheme is delivered by D/deaf specialists and is tailored the specific needs of the children. As a result of attending the playscheme we believe that D/deaf children: develop positive relationships within their peer group; have improved behaviour and increased independence; have a better understanding of how to stay safe and healthy; and understand their personal, educational and career potential as a D/deaf person. By leaving a legacy to [sonus] you could ensure that vital projects like this are able to continue.
If you would like to leave a legacy to [sonus] we suggest the following wording:
I give [amount] to [sonus] (registered charity number 1065669) Spitfire House, 28-29 High Street, Southampton, Hampshire, SO14 2DF to be applied for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the finance director or appropriate officer shall be a complete discharge to my trustees.
