The company is keen to develop a range of residential/respite and community living options for Deaf people.
For almost 50 years Easthill has provided a home offering supported living for D/deaf, deafened, D/deaf-blind or Hard of Hearing adults within a sign language environment.
Based on the Isle of Wight and within 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Ryde, Easthill offers 3 communal lounges, a large homely dining room providing home cooked meals. There is a well equipped hobbies room, featuring access to modern technology and a range of arts and craft equipment. Within the grounds there is a woodwork shop, summer house lawned and croquet areas and large patio.Support is provided to enable people to fullfill their potential through “life skills” including cooking, personal hygiene, group working and social skills. We work to a person-centered ethos to address needs, goals and aspirations.
Escorted trips, days out in our minibus, holidays abroad and within the UK are all provided.
Residents are encouraged and supported to be involved in decisions affecting the service they receive and the running of the home.
Support is offered 24 hours a day throughout the year.
